In 1998 Dr Salunke was operated on for kidney stones. But the operation was not successful and the kidney stones returned after a short time.
In 2004 he visited Tapovan to learn Agnihotra and took a few leaves from the Ayurvedic herb Bryophyllum pinnatum. After 10 days practising Agnihotra and taking the leaves of the herb he was free of painful symptoms.
A sonography test showed that in one kidney all 3 stones had completely dissolved.
